I have only recently discovered your website in my search for ways to revitalize the small village I live in, located in central southwestern Ontario Canada. At this point, I am fact-finding, and will be putting my findings into an article, or two, for my local newspaper, so others can share and maybe find inspiration. We have seen a steady decline of businesses over the years, yet we have a fairly stable residential population. Like many small towns, our village is a good place to set up home and raise a family, but work in larger centres, where they shop before coming home as prices are cheaper and it saves time. My hope is to inspire the village to reinvent itself and focus on adding tourism to our repertoire. I am eager to see the comments from everyone and maybe find some inspiration I can share in my village.
