By Small Biz Survival

Help us load up a wagon-load of good news to share this week. Photo (cc) by Theodore C on Flickr.

The Brag Basket is open! This one is for October 2-4, 2015. Bring your good news, big or small, to share with everyone.

What can you do in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • congratulate a friend
  • applaud for each other
  • confess your undying love for rural places

How do you join in?

Below this post is the comment section. Add your good news there.

Reading this in your email? Hit reply.

Don’t like to brag? Just share some good news for yourself or a friend.

Just don’t make it an ad. I delete the ads that people stick in here. If you talk more about the people involved than the things, you’ll be fine.

It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

I convinced a student and, by extension, her entrepreneurial father to read Seth Godin’s blog every day. They have been doing that for a month now!

I love it, Carol! That is a great thing on so many levels: for reading, for reading together, for exposing them to Seth, and for bringing them together around entrepreneurship.

I set up a friend with Instagram and Snapseed so she can look digitally savvy at her new arts job in a small town gallery. She’s been cynical about ‘social media’ for all the reasons we hear, but loves taking photos. Now she’s excited about sharing what she sees with the world. Still a bit puzzled by hashtags, but we’re on the bus!

Good work, Ken! Happy to see you connecting her with the right tools to share her view of the world.

I was just one of those who attended the event “Big Ideas for Small Communities” with Becky McCray on September 22nd at the Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center in Washburn, North Dakota.

It was amazing! Fabulous folks who were also in attendance included Angie Benz, City Auditor for Hazelton, ND, who really latched on to the idea of small storefronts inside one building. I think we can look forward to seeing this concept in action in Hazelton, ND very soon. Congratulations, Angie for latching on to a Big Idea for a Small Community!!!!

Thank you, Carmen! So glad you were there, and can’t wait to hear more about Angie and how her idea works for Hazelton!
