I love old basket handles like these. Get a handle on your good news and share with us. Basket of apples photo (CC) by Renae Rude on Flickr

The Brag Basket is open! This one is for August 28-30, 2015. Bring your tasty good news to share with everyone.

What can you do in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • congratulate a friend
  • applaud for each other
  • confess your undying love for rural places

How do you join in?

Below this post is the comment section. Add your good news there.

Reading this in your email? Hit reply.

Don’t like to brag? Just share some good news for yourself or a friend.

Just don’t make it an ad. I delete the ads that people stick in here. If you talk more about the people involved than the things, you’ll be fine.

It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

Finders Keepers Antiques and consignment officially opens Tuesday, while Antiques, Gifts and More in the same location enjoyed a very busy and fun final Saturday.
Some of the new crew were busy moving in and setting up booths, creating window vignettes, and selling things that weren’t even off the sidewalk yet (and it wasn’t a Sidewalk sale).
What I loved as future new proprietor was welcoming so many who had NEVER BEEN TO Winnsboro before! It was my pleasure to name SIX restaurants within walking distance, invite them to come back next week for the Winnsboro, TX Main Street Program-sponsored Classic Car “Cruise In” at the Winnsboro train depot parking lot and the October events of “Autumn Trails”.
One lady paid us a huge complement. She said, “I’m going to come back and bring my church ladies”. Fun.
The largest number of shoppers were actually couples. It feels good to live and work in a place that is a “destination” for others. We love sharing our community.
