The Brag Basket is our tradition of sharing. The basket is always free and open all weekend, this one August 3-5, 2012. Have some good news this week? Put it in the Brag Basket.
Don’t hold back because of that word, “brag.” When you hold back, you hide your good news and accomplishments that might inspire others. Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing.
What can you do in the Brag Basket?
- introduce yourself
- share some great news from this week
- congratulate a friend
- laugh about something wonderful that you tried that failed
- applaud for each other
Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.
How does it work? You write a comment on this post. We all cheer, and everyone feels great.
This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

Yesterday, a Friday in fact, our NW OSBDC made our very first Skype staff meeting. Laura was in Alva, Missy and Ashlyn were in Enid and I was in Waynoka. No driving for anyone. The only thing I missed out on were the cookies! Laura even sent some to the Enid office so they could have cookies during the meeting. Guess I should have been in Alva. It was great fun and we actually conducted a lot of business. We have another Skype Staff meeting scheduled in 2 weeks.

Earlier this week I attended the 140edu Conference in NYC. There were many GREAT presenters. I encourage everyone to check out the photography of hall monitor Dave Clark from Toronto, Canada: https://www.facebook.com/David.Bradley.Photography. Jeff Pulver and Chris Lehmann did another excellent job creating and executing the event.

Thanks for sharing, Sally. It was a pleasure to meet you in person at the 140conf in June, and I’m so glad to hear how well the EDU event, as well!
