Introduce yourself in the Brag Basket

By Small Biz Survival

The Brag Basket is our tradition of sharing. The basket is always free and open all weekend, this one March 23-25, 2012. Have some good news this week? Put it in the Brag Basket.

This week’s basket by Darren W.

Don’t hold back because of that word, “brag.” When you hold back, you hide your good news and accomplishments that might inspire others. Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing.

What can you do in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • congratulate a friend
  • laugh about something wonderful that you tried that failed
  • applaud for each other

Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.

How does it work? You write a comment on this post. We all cheer, and everyone feels great.

This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

Hi everyone.. I’m MissDazey, online friend to Becky and her readers. Bragging today on CoxHealth Auxiliary for all their long hours of volunteering and fund raising. CoxHealth is a major medical center in Springfield, MO. Many of the volunteers are giving back to the community in their retirement years. (my husband Mr. Bruce is one of them)

Hey folks! Ryan here, college student in Tennessee. New here, so not sure what you’re looking for but I’ll give it a go. Last week I stepped out of my comfort zone and joined a food policy meeting on campus. I didn’t know what to expect other than there would be many people who view food issues differently than me, but I knew Agriculture needed a voice. Things turned out great, I wrote a blog post on it, and have picked up a few endorsements. Hopefully this will lead as an example for others wanting to step out of their comfort zones as well.

Hello everyone! I’m Traci Perg. I live in Oklahoma City, and I own Yggdrasil Farms. I raise heritage breed Dominique chickens, and this year I’m expanding our flock to sell eggs and pastured broilers.

Hi everybody! I’m Rosie Taylor and I live in South Florida. I work with small business owners. This week one of them had the ultimate a-ha moment in our group session and inspired the rest of them to think bigger! She literally screamed out in excitement. It made my week to know that I was part of that experience.

Howdy!
