Join our tradition of sharing

By Small Biz Survival

The Brag Basket is our tradition of sharing. The basket is always free and open all weekend, this one Dec 2-4, 2011.

Don’t hold back because of that word, “brag.” When you hold back, you hide your good news and accomplishments that might inspire others. Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing.

What can you do in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • congratulate a friend
  • laugh about something wonderful that you tried that failed
  • applaud for each other

Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. We all cheer, and everyone feels great. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.

How does it work? You write a comment on this post.

This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

    Becky:
My big accomplishment of the week: really letting this phrase sink in: the title of Bob Burg’s new book “It’s Not About You Wayne” (I added the Wayne part just to keep it personal) – that really came in handy when I was called upon to do quite a lot of TV work in the past couple weeks – I was able to keep focus on the enlivening truth that whenever you play music it is always about the audience, the ones who are going to be listening to you, so let your ego out of the picture and stop fussing about whether you’re doing well- just enjoy the fact that you are blessed to be making music for others. That’s my big brag of the week. I love this space-Thanks for making it available.
    Wayne

Always good to hear from you, Tom.

Wayne, I love your insight. It’s something all of us can learn from, and it fits well with our “You are not your target market” series!

Howdy!
