Join me in the Brag Basket

By Small Biz Survival

The Brag Basket is our tradition of sharing. The basket is always free and open all weekend, this one September 23-25, 2011.

Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing.

Thank you, Hutchison and the Fox, for another amazing #140conf SmallTown
Bragging on our
140 Characters this week!

What can you do in the Brag Basket?

  • introduce yourself
  • share some great news from this week
  • congratulate a friend
  • laugh about something wonderful that you tried that failed
  • applaud for each other

Don’t hold back because of that word, “brag.” When you hold back, you hide your good news and accomplishments that might inspire others.

Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. We all cheer, and everyone feels great. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.

How does it work? You write a comment on this post, email me, or catch me on any social network and share your thought.

This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

I’ll go first this week! We didn’t have quite 140 characters in the audience, but we got close at the 140 Characters Conference SmallTown held in Hutchinson, Kansas. We had the most amazing and most everyday people get up and share a piece of their heart. I am humbled to think that Jeff Pulver and I, with a LOT of help, have managed to create something that changes lives.

I want to brag about the wonderful job the Becky, Cody, and Jeff did at the 140Conf Small Town. I have a big congrats for all the speakers. CONGRATS! See you all next year.

I’m bragging that I got to spend a wonderful few days at #140conf Small Town this week with unbelievably awesome people who contribute so much to our world. I also want to brag that I am a friend of the fabulous Becky McCray ~ online first, then friends in person. How great is that???

Howdy!
