Let yourself brag just this once

By Small Biz Survival

Even though I call this the Brag Basket, it’s not really about bragging. It’s about sharing. I started this so you can introduce yourself, share some good news, or congratulate a friend.

The basket is open all weekend, from November 12-14, 2010.

Speak up and add yourself or another deserving soul in the comments. We all cheer, and everyone feels great. It lets you meet each other a bit. Reading each others’ stories brings us a bit closer to being a community.

How does it work? You write a comment on this post, email me, tweet me, or comment on Facebook. You tell something great about your week, or you give applause to someone who did good stuff this week. Or you celebrate something wonderful that you tried that failed.

This is not an ad. (I delete the ads.) It’s a conversation with friends. So jump in. And remember to cheer for each other.

I got this one via email:

    Hi Becky,

I would like to brag on two wonderful people, @chrisheuer and @yonclee who are heading up #SMCEDU. It is a sub project that is stemming off of the Social Media Club. The mission of the #SMCEDU is to move forward social media use and awareness in higher education. These two extremely dedicated and busy people are amazing and I would like to recognize each of them so they know they are appreciated.

    Thanks.
    Vicky. @eeus

Cheers to @chrisheuer and @yonclee! Happy to spread the word about a great project.

Hey, Becky! I’m on the advisory board for this 11 yr. old boy who has raised $21G on his way to his $100G goal to help pay for a documentary and statue to be built in France commemorating the contribution of Maj. Dick Winters and the Band of Brothers to the freeing of Europe. He’s selling $1 HANG TOUGH wristbands. http://bit.ly/90Jkiz

We celebrated our store’s 7th anniversary this week. It was a busy weekend with lots of customers and well wishers, cards and flowers! It’s great to still be kicking after 7 years and hoping to add 7 more!
