Each Friday, I open the brag basket as a fun place to give someone a pat on the back, brag, or promote yourself and your projects.
Last week, Doug at Mitchgroup bragged on a client, Marco announced Factoring Articles, Paul proudly finished a page at TheSeedCompany.org, Sandra of Guiding Vision complimented my presentation, I bragged on Mom, and Todd of The Broad Brush and Vicky of Remarkable Parents stopped by to cheer.
Will you put something in the Brag Basket this week? You can brag on a friend, your own project, yourself, others, anything! You don’t need special permission. Just leave a comment right here. There’s no deadline, so you can brag anytime during the weekend, and I’ll open a fresh Brag Basket each Friday.

We picked up another new small city government client this week, with one immediate project, and several in the wings! Hurray for small towns!
Rotarian Magazine is going to feature me and my book “Ask Without Fear!” in the January issue!!!
Hi Becky – just wanted to say, *congratulations* on your new project!! Have a fantastic weekend. :)
I performed two random acts of kindness yesterday and feel fantastic as a result!
Marc, Congratulations! That is very cool.
Mark, thanks! You, too.
Ethnicomm, I love that brag. Good for you!
Hi Becky,
Two goodies….
1) Fellow Austinite Aruni Gunasegaram learned that her panel Building a Web Business After Hours was accepted for South by Southwest Interactive in March 2009.
2) I learned that “Condé Nast Traveler” magazine will fly me to New York to live-tweet their Readers’ Choice Awards on Twitter. That’s a publication that is starting to really understand the Web!
Sheila, I saw that Aruni was one of the first selected! Congrats, Aruni!!
And hey, congrats to you, too! Yet another business success from Twitter. Enjoy the trip!
Had a successful summer planning to start my non-profit performance arts group. Had 2 open houses with strong attendance. Holding Auditions next weekend. I have a very committed all-volunteer staff who is excited about seeing this all get off the ground too!
We even got some national attention when one of our open houses was written about on a major performance-arts website!

ATX, congratulations! Sounds like the hard work from you and your team is paying off!
Becky – Thanks for the shoutout on my new site! And, congrats on bagging a new client.
I was curious, how is this whole financial mess impacting businesses in your neck of the woods? Would love to hear your opinion on howthe cridit crisis is hitting small biz america…. talk about smallbizsurvival huh? :-)
Marco
Hello Brag Basket, it’s been a while! I’d like to brag on our redesign of BatchBook – never has contact management looked so purty! Adam and the rest of the BatchBlue team did a great job.
Here’s a link to a blog post where you can check it on out…

@Sheila thanks for bragging about me. :-) That’s cool. Congrats on being selected by CondeNast to tweet!
@Becky congrats on the new client!
Thanks, Marco. You have a great question. I’m thinking of doing a few interviews with local bankers to find out how credit is right now. Thanks for the idea!
Wow, Michelle! You all really packed a bunch into that re-design! Excellent work!
Aruni, welcome to the Brag Basket! Hope you’ll drop in again soon. :)
I want to thank Debbie Anglin with Anglin Public Relations for helping me connect with work projects for me humble little PR shop (zenobiapublicrelations.com)
I want to thank Becky McCray for being the ultimate rural Gen Xer.
Jen, congrats to you on new work projects! And to Debbie for showing good taste! :)
And thanks for the compliment. My husband says I’m non-typical for GenX!
Bragging on myself and my St. Charles County Twitter buds.
We had our first local Tweetup. It went quite well, and we even managed to have some nonlocals show up.
Where we had it was about 40 miles from downtown St. Louis. Not only did two fellow Twitters from down that way make it out, but one of the gave our celebrity guest, Chris Brogan, a ride from down that way.
There was laughter, smiles, good food, good beer, and great company.
It wasn’t totally my idea, so be sure to recognize @JavaStl as well.
Go St. Charles County Twitter Folk!
Wow, Todd! What an event! Congratulations!
I made the front page of DMNews.com, including a photo. The full article can be found at Social Media Goes Global.
I was interviewed about our social media plans at Ford and they called me back to ask if they could send a photographer over for a formal photo shoot.
Scott, that is very, very cool. A terrific article. Congrats!
Looking for work –
Pushing through the gauntlet of limpwristed handshakes, and empty cotillion air kisses.
Funny, irreverent, cynical, optimistic, dreamer and Taurus with a stubborn streak, and a fondness for Jerry Garcia Ties, thrives on working hard with smart people. A former, Radio DJ, and Program Director, Television Program Director, Public Affairs Officer, Speech Writer, Award Winning Radio Spot writer, Computer Tech, Event Producer, and Customer Service Guru is always looking for a new challenge. Communicates and plays well with others. Won’t work with whiners. Wonders why no one seems to know how to load the dishwasher properly.
Paul, you win the prize for both the most innovative use of the Brag Basket, and the best availability pitch I’ve ever seen! Awesome!
Congrats Scott. Thanks Becky, I’m told that alot when folks read it. Now to get people to act and contact me for work.
Hmmm… we need an innovative job network!
I’d like to brag about my friend Jeff, who a little over a year ago started writing a Christian cartoon called PrayerPup.com. Jeff has steadily grown his following with his wit and Christian message. Check him out!
Correction. Jeff’s blog is PrayerPups.com!!
Thanks, PizzaForADream! Great to meet you, and thanks for bragging on Jeff.
