Brag Basket is back from NYC

Friday, June 19, 2009

Each Friday, I open the Brag Basket for the weekend. Today, finally home from New York City, we jump right into the Brag Basket.

This is designed as a fun place for you to share your projects and accomplishments. But you can also cheer for other people, give shout outs, congratulate, and even give someone a well-deserved pat on the back.

Think that bragging is a bad thing? Read how Tony explains the Brag Basket.

The Brag Basket is open for everyone, whether from a small town, a big city, or anywhere in the world. (But it's true that I love small town brags!)

Will you put something in the Brag Basket this week? You can brag on a friend, your own project, yourself, others, anything! Make it personal, and not just an ad. You don't need special permission, and you don't have to be from a small town. Just leave a comment right here. There's no deadline, so you can brag anytime during the weekend, and I'll open a fresh Brag Basket each Friday.

Aloha! I wanted to brag about @PaulMerrill @SheilaS and the very cool, @BeckyMcCray We came together as a group for SOBCon09 and based on what we learned had agreed to keep each other accountable to our "unplugged" goals. It continues to be an uphill climb for me, but through their encouragement the incline doesn't seem as steep.

Also, we've gained a new person to our team: @shareyourtable

Happy Aloha Friday everyone!

Aloha, Neenz! I will second your brag for our group. We have continued to support each other, well after the event. Thanks for putting us in the Brag Basket!

Hi everyone!
Rick from Minneapolis here. I have to brag up our social media community in the Twin Cities. The interest in learning, mentoring, and helping each other grow professionally is fantastic.

Sometimes overwhelmingly so! We're all looking forward to our next Social Media Breakfast, and our sponsors have enabled a seriously large event for June. Because of the generosity and the interest in the community, we're hosting an event in excess of 250 folks on the morning of June 26th.

Thanks for letting me brag up my hometown folks for the great participation they exhibit!

Regards,
Rick
